Job summary

Airswift is seeking an Offshore HSE Advisor to support a major offshore drilling project in Atlantic Canada. Based in St. John’s with offshore rotation, this long-term contract offers exposure to high-profile operations and a strong safety culture.

You will lead HSE on the facility, coach supervisors and contractors, and drive continuous improvement through audits, investigations, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Significant offshore HSE experience in oil & gas, drilling, marine, or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of Permit to Work, Safety Management Systems, regulatory compliance, audits and inspections.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead HSE resource onboard an offshore drilling facility.
• Provide HSE guidance to supervisors, contractors, and offshore personnel.
• Lead investigations into incidents, hazards, and near-misses.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and assurance activities.
• Support risk assessments, JSAs, MOC, and PTW processes.
• Analyze HSE data and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
• Participate in emergency response drills and environmental compliance.

Duration

Long-term contract opportunity through the end of 2028

• Act as the lead HSE resource onboard an offshore drilling facility.
• Provide HSE guidance, coaching, and support to supervisors, contractors, and offshore personnel.
• Promote a positive and proactive safety culture through leadership and workforce engagement.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory, project, and company HSE requirements.
• Lead and participate in incident, hazard, and near-miss investigations.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and assurance activities.
• Support risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Management of Change (MOC), and Permit to Work (PTW) processes.
• Analyze HSE performance data, trends, and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
• Participate in emergency response drills and preparedness activities.
• Support environmental compliance and contractor HSE management.
• Significant offshore HSE experience within oil & gas, drilling, marine, or related industries
