Job summary

Delta Power Equipment in Sparta, Ontario is seeking an Experienced Agricultural Equipment Service Technician/Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of agricultural machinery. You will perform field and shop repairs, conduct inspections, and provide exceptional customer service.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with tractors, combines, planting and harvesting equipment, strong diagnostics skills, and a valid Ontario driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Proven experience servicing and repairing agricultural equipment.
• Ontario driver’s license with a clean record.
• Agricultural Equipment Technician or Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification/licensing is an asset
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, drivetrains, and mechanical components
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Experience working on tractors, combines, planting, harvesting, or other agricultural equipment
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Comfort using computers and diagnostic software

Responsibilities

• Inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining tractors, combines, planting equipment, harvesting equipment, and other agricultural machinery
• Troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems
• Performing preventative maintenance and seasonal inspections
• Using diagnostic tools and technology to identify equipment issues
• Completing repairs efficiently and accurately to minimize customer downtime
• Identifying required parts and working with the Parts Department to expedite repairs
• Completing service reports, work orders, and documentation accurately
• Communicating with customers about repairs and maintenance
• Performing field and road service calls when required
• Testing equipment after repairs to ensure proper and safe operation
• Keeping up to date with new equipment technology and repair techniques
• Collaborating with technicians, parts staff, and management to deliver excellent service
• Following health and safety policies and procedures

EXPERIENCED AGRICULTURAL SERVICE TECHNICIAN/MECHANIC

Location: Sparta, ON
Type:Full-Time, Permanent

Delta Power Equipment is a full-service agricultural and construction equipment dealership with over 450 employees across multiple locations in Ontario. We provide sales, service, and parts support to farmers, producers, contractors, and businesses who rely on their equipment every day.

When planting is underway, or harvest is in full swing, equipment downtime isn't an option. Our service technicians play a critical role in getting our customers back in the field and keeping them productive.

We're currently looking for an E xperienced Agricultural Service Technician/Mechanic to join our team in Sparta.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

As an Agricultural Service Technician/Mechanic, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of agricultural equipment while providing the dependable service our customers count on.

Your day may include:

• Inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining tractors, combines, planting equipment, harvesting equipment, and other agricultural machinery
• Troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems
• Performing preventative maintenance and seasonal inspections
• Using diagnostic tools and technology to identify equipment issues

• Working closely with other technicians, parts staff, and management to provide an exceptional customer experience
• Following all workplace health and safety policies and procedures

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We're looking for someone with real-world agricultural equipment experience who can confidently diagnose problems, find solutions, and get machines back to work.

You bring:

• Proven experience servicing and repairing agricultural equipment
• Agricultural Equipment Technician or Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification/licensing is an asset
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, drivetrains, and mechanical components
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Experience working on tractors, combines, planting, harvesting, or other agricultural equipment
• Ability to work efficiently and prioritize repairs during busy agricultural seasons
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• A positive, team-focused attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
• Comfort using computers, diagnostic software, and modern equipment technology
• Valid Ontario driver's licence with a clean driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
