Job summary

Delta Power Equipment in Forest, Ontario is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain agricultural, construction, and heavy equipment. You will troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems in shop and on road calls as needed, with opportunities to work across various equipment types.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Agricultural Equipment Technician or Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge, including hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Good communication and time-management skills.
  • Ontario G Driver's Licence with a clean driving abstract.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on agricultural, construction, and heavy equipment.
  • Repair equipment in the shop and perform road calls when required.
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, and other components.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment technology.
  • Repair cooling and lubrication systems.
  • Repair transmissions, drivetrains, final drives, and other mechanical components.
  • Install, align, and service engines and major equipment components.
  • Install new equipment, attachments, and additional components.
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure it is operating safely and performing properly.
  • Complete work orders, timecards, and repair documentation accurately.
  • Continue developing your knowledge of new equipment, technology, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.

HEAVY EQUIPMENT (CONSTRUCTION) SERVICE TECHNICIAN/MECHANIC

We're currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team in Forest, Ontario .

You’ll have the opportunity to work with a variety of agricultural and construction equipment and technology. Your work may include everything from routine maintenance and diagnostics to complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

You don't need to know everything, but you should enjoy the challenge of figuring things out. We're looking for someone who brings mechanical knowledge, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to continue learning:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Agricultural Equipment Technician or Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification is preferred
  • Previous experience working with agricultural, construction, heavy-duty, or off-road equipment
  • Strong mechanical knowledge, including experience with hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and time-management skills
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • A valid Ontario G Driver's Licence with a clean driving abstract
  • The physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • The ability to work indoors and outdoors as required
  • A commitment to workplace safety and the use of required personal protective equipment
