Job summary

Canterra Group in the Greater Vancouver Area seeks a Project Director – Civil Infrastructure Construction to oversee the execution and financial performance of multiple large civil projects. You will report to senior leadership and drive on-time, on-budget delivery with a focus on cost control, risk management, and team development.

The role requires 15+ years of civil construction experience, a Civil Engineering or Construction Management background, and professional designations like P.Eng.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive civil construction experience on roads, bridges, rail, and municipal projects.
• Proven track record leading $100M+ projects or portfolios.
• Strong cost control, budgeting, and risk management at senior level.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership across multiple civil infrastructure projects.
• Mentor project managers and site teams to develop future leaders.
• Oversee planning, execution, and close-out to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Lead client engagement, contract negotiations, and stakeholder management at high level.
• Drive cost control and financial forecasting to maximize profitability.
• Implement proactive risk management to mitigate delays and costs.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance across projects.
• Provide strategic reporting to senior leadership.
