Job summary

Our client in Victoria seeks a dedicated Civil Construction Project Manager to oversee estimating, planning, oversight, and project evaluation from start to finish in the Victoria region. You will lead site inspections, coordinate with clients and sub-trades, and ensure schedule and budget adherence.

• 5+ years of project management experience in civil construction.
• Graduate of a recognized post-secondary program related to civil engineering or construction management.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil construction projects with the support of our management team.
• Prepare accurate costs estimates and complete tender package submissions for new projects.
• Manage project performance to meet schedule, budget, and contract specifications.
• Complete site inspections and attend progress meetings.
• Prepare/review quality control, OH&S, traffic management and environmental plans.
• Manage resources, cost control, progress estimates, and contract change management.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and sub-trades.

About Our Client

Our client is a leading Western Canadian construction firm with over 70 years of experience delivering complex infrastructure and heavy civil projects across B.C. and Alberta. Their expertise spans excavation, deep foundations, shoring, demolition, and industrial site prep; often self-performing on high-risk, technically demanding scopes.

About The Position

The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the high quality and profitable delivery of Civil construction projects, through the estimating, planning, oversight, and evaluation of construction projects from start to finish.

This opportunity is available to candidates based in Victoria, Nanaimo, Parksville, Port Alberni, Ladysmith, Duncan, and Campbell River.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage civil construction projects with the support of our management team.
• Prepare accurate costs estimates and complete tender package submissions for new projects.

• Complete site inspections and attend progress meetings.
• Prepare/review quality control, OH&S, traffic management and environmental plans.

• Liaise with clients, consultants and sub-trades
• Provide support for our field teams as necessary.

The Requirements

• 5+ years of project management experience in civil construction.
• Experience using Microsoft Office programs.
• Valid BC driver’s license and clean abstract.
• Graduate of a recognized post-secondary program related to civil engineering or construction management.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $100,000 – $130,000
