Qualifications

  • Mindestens fünf Jahre Erfahrung als Küchenleiter oder in ähnlicher Rolle.
  • Erfahrung in Fast Casual Restaurants erforderlich.

Job Summary: The Executive Chef is responsible for the growth and development of Denninger’s Bistro department across all locations. This includes but is not limited to sales growth, menu development and project management.
Reporting to:Senior Merchandising & Marketing Manager
Responsibilities:
  • Brings continuous improvement to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the department
  • Ensures an exceptional customer experience through the quality and consistency of menu execution in all locations.
  • Manage and supervise Bistro teams across all locations to ensure efficient food preparation and timely service.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and controlling costs.
  • Contributes to menu item centralization and production at our Manufacturing facility.
  • Ensure consistency of quality, portion control and plating presentation.
  • Brings continuous improvement to labour metrics and efficiencies across the departments. Provides active coaching to department heads.
  • Ensure that all food products are handled, stored, prepared and served safely in accordance with Food safety Guidelines.
  • Manages programs to reduce waste and ensure proper rotation of all food products.
  • Manages all Kitchen capital projects (Including but not limited to kitchen design, equipment purchasing, POS Systems, Inventory management etc.)
  • Involved in the continuous improvement of preventive maintenance of all kitchen equipment (including but not limited to best practices, cleaning schedules etc.)
  • Execution of various company sampling events, external catering and partnership opportunities
  • All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of five (5) years experience as Kitchen Manager or similar role.
  • Experience working in Fast Casual Restaurants (FCR) is required.
  • Traveling between locations is required, must hold a valid G2 or G driver’s license with the access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Highly creative with the knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures.
  • Hands-on leadership style and strong coaching skills.
  • Strong organization skills and effective planning to reach daily sales and overall growth goals.
  • Experience with project management is a strong asset.
  • A valid Food Handlers certification is required.
  • A valid Smart Serve certification is an asset.
Essential Functions:
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders. Bend and twist neck and waist, reach above and below shoulders and squat.
  • Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds. Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.
  • Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, outdoors, etc.)
  • Fine manipulation of hands.
