Job summary

Crosby Foods Ltd., a multi-generation Canadian food manufacturer based in Saint John, NB, seeks a Chief Financial Officer to partner with the CEO and senior leadership. You will oversee strategic, operational, financial, and IT decisions with direct influence over budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation.

The role requires strong financial fundamentals, commercial acumen, and experience in complex manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

CFO or senior finance executive ready for broader enterprise responsibility.
Experience in manufacturing, food, consumer products, or other operationally complex environments.
Strong financial fundamentals paired with sound commercial judgment.
Comfortable moving between high-level strategy and hands-on execution.
Strategic, analytical, decisive, confident, curious, and commercially aware.
Able to simplify complexity and build credibility across finance, operations, sales, technology, and governance.
Family-business experience is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

Partner with CEO, COO, senior leadership and advisory board on strategic, operational, financial and technology decisions.
Build enterprise planning, budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation processes.
Identify growth opportunities and determine value across customers, products and business lines.
Monitor and manage cash flow, margins, and overall financial performance.
Set IT priorities and lead data, cybersecurity, automation, and AI initiatives.
Bring financial discipline and visibility while preserving entrepreneurial pace.
Lead and develop the Finance function and its people.
