NAANDWECHIGE-GAMIG Wikwemikong Health Centre seeks an Executive Assistant to support the Health Services Director. You will coordinate confidential administrative activities, manage schedules, prepare reports, and liaise between the Director, staff, leadership, external agencies and community members.

The role requires discretion, professionalism, and the ability to handle confidential information while supporting priorities and daily operations of the Health Services Department.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Office Administration or related field required; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 3–5 years of progressively responsible administrative experience supporting senior management.
  • Experience in health care, Indigenous organization, government, or non-profit environment preferred.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, preparing reports, and managing confidential information.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of First Nations culture, traditions, values, and community protocols.

Executive Assistant – Director Health Services

Summary

The Executive Assistant to the Health Services Director provides confidential, high-level administrative and executive support to the Health Services Director and assists in the efficient operation of the Health Services Department. The position is responsible for coordinating administrative activities, managing schedules, preparing correspondence and reports, supporting meetings and committees, maintaining records, and acting as a liaison between the Director, staff, leadership, external agencies, and community members. Executive Assistant exercises sound judgment, professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality while supporting departmental priorities, strategic initiatives, and daily operations.

Qualifications
  • Diploma in Office Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, Health Administration, or related field. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative experience supporting senior management or executive leadership.
  • Experience in a health care, Indigenous organization, government, or non-profit environment is preferred.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, preparing reports, and managing confidential information.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of office procedures and administrative practices.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.Knowledge of First Nations culture, traditions, values, and community protocols.
  • Understanding of Indigenous health priorities and service delivery models.
  • Ability to work respectfully with Indigenous communities, leadership, and organizations.
Salary:

$77,000.00
