Job summary

Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) is seeking a Senior Administrative professional to support HR Management - Corp Serv/Finance. This term position involves hybrid work, 1.0 FTE, 7.5 hours per day, and ASAP start with an end date around 11/05/2027.

The incumbent will manage complex schedules, supervise junior staff, and prepare minutes and agendas for executive-level meetings. Requirements include five years in a senior administrative role, high school diploma with applied office skills,

Qualifications

  • Completion of a high school or equivalent program of studies; formal training in applied office skills is required.
  • Typing speed 60 wpm.
  • Proficiency with computerized systems (Microsoft Word, Access, PowerPoint and Excel) is essential.
  • Experience with email and computerized calendars.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, assign and supervise the work of junior employees.
  • Experience in scheduling and coordinating meetings.
  • Ability to compose correspondence on behalf of senior managers.
  • Experience recording and preparing minutes and agendas.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to prioritize a large workload and independently complete a variety of administrative duties.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced corporate environment and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively contribute to a team environment.
  • The ability to work independently and to establish and maintain good working relationships with administrative staff, healthcare agencies and all levels of management.
  • Ability to maintain a high-level of confidentiality.
  • Previous healthcare experience would be an asset.

Experience
  • Five years’ experience in a senior administrative position.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

This term position may end earlier as outlined in your employee handbook.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
