Job summary

Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE) is seeking a Program Team Leader for the Before & After School Program. The role covers 7:00-8:10am and 1:25-6:00pm, Monday to Friday, totaling approximately 37.75 hours per week.

The leader will supervise staff and oversee delivery of programming for participating children. The ideal candidate has supervisory experience, the ability to motivate a team, and a background in early childhood education or related field, with First Aid/CPR certification.

• Must be able to develop and participate in the delivery of creative core programming.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Before & After School Program team in daily operations.
• Coordinate staffing and scheduling for 7:00-8:10am and 1:25-6:00pm sessions (Mon-Fri).
• Deliver creative core programming and ensure quality child care.

The program Team Leader will work in the Before & After school program, 7:00-8:10am & 1:25-6:00pm, Monday- Friday. Approximately 37.75 hours/week.

Requirements

• Must possess supervisory skills for both staffing and children
• Must be able to motivate and work well with a team of staff
• Must be able to develop and participate in the delivery of creative core programming
• Must possess Early Childhood Education diploma or University background in child studies, recreation or related experience in professional child care field
• Must possess valid First Aid/CPRCertification

Rate of Pay: $25.15 per hourplus vacation pay.
