A leading construction company in Calgary is seeking an Excavator Operator. The role involves safe operation of heavy equipment in various outdoor conditions. Employment terms and conditions : Permanent, Full-Time (30 to 70 hours / week, weather-dependent); Morning, Day, Weekend, Overtime

Experience :
Type of heavy equipment operated : Excavator, Grader, Packer, Bulldozer
Area of work : Industrial / commercial / institutional (ICI) construction, Road construction, Underground, Deep and shallow utilities; Backfilling, Ditching, Excavation, Land clearing, Sub-grade excavating, Trenching
Work Site Environment : Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat, and humidity
Work conditions and physical capabilities : Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Fast-paced environment, Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 30 lbs on a regular basis
Own tools / equipment : Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety : Driving record check (abstract) not required for the position, but may be needed to perform certain tasks; Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements
Duties :
Reporting to the Foreman, the Excavator Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of an Excavator to ensure the work completed is delivered according to Volker Stevin Contracting Ltd.’s company policies and procedures, Alberta Occupational Health and Safety, and contract specifications.
