Job summary

Black Rock Oceanfront Resort in Ucluelet, BC is seeking casual Events Servers to help deliver memorable service at weddings, celebrations, and corporate events. This part-time role offers flexibility for students, another job, or seasonal work in an oceanfront setting.

You will greet guests, serve food and drinks, set up and break down banquet spaces, and work closely with Events and Culinary teams to ensure smooth operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Greet guests warmly and serve food and beverages with professionalism and care.
• Set up and take down banquet spaces; transform rooms for beautiful ceremonies and elegant dinners.
• Follow Banquet Event Orders closely to ensure every detail is executed as planned.
• Work closely with our Events and Culinary teams to keep things running smoothly.
• Maintain clean and organized service areas, and handle equipment and linens with care.
• Support your teammates and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous serving and/or bartending experience; you know how to read a room and elevate a guest’s experience.
• A friendly, professional attitude and the stamina to keep energy high throughout an event.
• Comfort working solo or as part of a team; you’ll do both!
• Attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
• Serving It Right certification (required).
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
