Qualifications

• Minimum two years of supervisory experience in hospitality, event operations, convention centres, hotels, or banquet facilities.
• Experience coordinating event setups and interpreting Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical requirements of event operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Event Services staff during event setup, execution, and breakdown.
• Ensure all meeting rooms and event spaces are set according to BEOs and event specifications.
• Coordinate room turnovers, furniture setup, staging, dance floors, and event equipment.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings, assign daily responsibilities, and monitor team performance.
• Maintain event storage areas, equipment, and inventory in a clean, organized, and event-ready condition.
• Collaborate with Banquets, Culinary, Sales, Stewarding, and Operations teams to ensure seamless event execution.
• Monitor workplace safety and ensure compliance with Company policies and health and safety standards.
• Coach and support team members while promoting a positive, professional, and service-focused work environment.
• Assist with training, scheduling, and performance management of Event Services staff.

Cerise Fine Catering, Sodexo Live! is seeking an organized and hands-on Event Services Supervisor to lead our Event Services team at the Automotive Building. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role is responsible for supervising the setup, execution, and breakdown of events while ensuring all meeting rooms and event spaces are prepared to the highest standards. The successful candidate will lead Event Services staff, coordinate event logistics, maintain equipment and storage areas, and work closely with Culinary, Sales, Banquets, Stewarding, and Operations teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience coordinating event setups and interpreting Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Experience in unionized environments is an asset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform the physical requirements of event operations.
