Job summary

Cerise Fine Catering, Sodexo Live! is seeking an organized and hands-on Event Services Supervisor to lead our team at the Automotive Building in Toronto. You will supervise setup, execution, and breakdown of events, ensuring spaces meet the highest standards and BEO specifications.

You will coordinate with Banquets, Culinary, Sales, Stewarding, and Operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences, supervise staff, and drive safe, efficient event operations with a focus on teamwork and quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of supervisory experience in hospitality, events, convention centres, hotels, or banquet facilities.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience coordinating event setups and interpreting Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Experience in unionized environments is an asset.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and meet physical requirements of event operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Event Services staff during event setup, execution, and breakdown.
• Ensure meeting rooms and spaces are set according to BEOs and specs.
• Coordinate room turnovers, furniture setup, staging, dance floors, and equipment.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings, assign daily tasks, and monitor performance.
• Maintain storage areas, equipment, and inventory in a clean, organized condition.
• Collaborate with Banquets, Culinary, Sales, Stewarding, and Operations for seamless execution.
• Monitor health and safety compliance and uphold company policies.
• Coach and support team members; foster a positive, service-focused environment.
• Assist with training, scheduling, and performance management of staff.

Join Our Team

Cerise Fine Catering, Sodexo Live! is seeking an organized and hands-on Event Services Supervisor to lead our Event Services team at the Automotive Building. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role is responsible for supervising the setup, execution, and breakdown of events while ensuring all meeting rooms and event spaces are prepared to the highest standards.

The successful candidate will lead Event Services staff, coordinate event logistics, maintain equipment and storage areas, and work closely with Culinary, Sales, Banquets, Stewarding, and Operations teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise Event Services staff during event setup, execution, and breakdown.
• Ensure all meeting rooms and event spaces are set according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and event specifications.
• Coordinate room turnovers, furniture setup, staging, dance floors, and event equipment.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings, assign daily responsibilities, and monitor team performance.
• Maintain event storage areas, equipment, and inventory in a clean, organized, and event-ready condition.
• Collaborate with Banquets, Culinary, Sales, Stewarding, and Operations teams to ensure seamless event execution.
• Monitor workplace safety and ensure compliance with Company policies and health and safety standards.
• Coach and support team members while promoting a positive, professional, and service-focused work environment.
• Assist with training, scheduling, and performance management of Event Services staff.

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience coordinating event setups and interpreting Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Experience in unionized environments is an asset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform the physical requirements of event operations.
