Job summary

Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge invites you to join as an Event Server, acting as an ambassador for exceptional service and cuisine at our luxury events. You will deliver attentive, personalized service and support throughout weddings, conferences, and special occasions.

Reporting to the Banquet Manager, you will prepare spaces, serve a variety of meals, and collaborate with Banquet, Culinary, and Conference Services teams to ensure flawless execution and a memorable guest experience.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months serving experience within the last 5 years.
• Pro Serve certification is required.
• Successful completion of Food & Beverage test (80% or above) is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional food and beverage service at banquet functions, weddings, conferences, meetings, and special events.
• Prepare event spaces by setting tables, arranging chairs, placing linens, and ensuring all event details follow event orders and standards.
• Welcome guests with warm, professional, and personalized service throughout each event.
• Serve plated meals, buffets, receptions, and beverage functions with efficiency and care.
• Maintain understanding of event menus and service sequences to answer guest questions confidently.

What you will be doing

Reporting to the Banquet Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Deliver exceptional food and beverage service at banquet functions, weddings, conferences, meetings, and special events.
• Prepare event spaces by setting tables, arranging chairs, placing linens, and ensuring all event details are executed according to event orders and Fairmont standards.
• Welcome guests and provide warm, professional, and personalized service throughout each event.
• Serve plated meals, buffets, receptions, coffee breaks, and beverage functions with efficiency and attention to detail.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of event menus, beverage offerings, and service sequences to confidently answer guest questions.
• Anticipate guest needs and proactively ensure an exceptional event experience.
• Collaborate with the Banquet, Culinary, and Conference Services teams to ensure smooth and successful event execution.
• Support the setup, execution, and teardown of event spaces while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization.
• Monitor event timelines to ensure service is delivered accurately and on schedule.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns, resolving issues according to Fairmont service standards.
• Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
• Uphold the Fairmont brand promise by delivering luxury service and creating unforgettable experiences for every guest.
• Foster an inclusive environment where every guest and colleague feels valued and respected.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include

• At least 6 months serving experience required in the last 5 years
• Successful completion of Food and Beverage test required 80% or above
• Pro Serve certification required.
