Job summary

Yardi Systems in Toronto, Ontario, seeks an Event Planner to lead strategy, planning, and execution of Yardi's trade shows and conferences, coordinating exhibitor logistics, booth planning, vendor partnerships, sponsorship activations, budgets, registrations, and onsite execution to maximize brand visibility and client engagement.

You will partner with sales, marketing, product, and leadership to deliver seamless event experiences that drive business growth, measure ROI, and improve processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in event planning including logistics, project management, and budgeting.
• 2+ years of experience in contract negotiation or trade event execution.
• 2+ years high level hospitality experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of corporate, trade, and specialty events from concept through completion, ensuring seamless attendee experiences and successful outcomes.
• Partner with internal teams and stakeholders to create engaging, memorable events that strengthen client relationships, increase brand awareness, and support business growth.
• Manage event schedules, logistics, budgets, and communications while ensuring projects are delivered on time and aligned with organizational goals.
• Drive event success by supporting client retention efforts, generating sales opportunities, and expanding exposure for Yardi’s products and services.
• Collaborate with fellow event professionals to deliver innovative programs that reinforce Yardi’s reputation as a leader in the real estate technology industry.

Job description

The Event Planner at Yardi is responsible for leading thestrategy, planning, and execution of Yardi's trade show and conferenceportfolio, ensuring every event supports brand visibility, client engagement,and business growth. Serving as the primary owner of trade show operations,this role manages exhibitor logistics, booth planning, vendor partnerships,sponsorship activations, budgets, registrations, and onsite execution across a high-volumeevent schedule. Through close partnership with sales, marketing, product, andleadership teams, the Event Planner delivers seamless event experiences thatmaximize market presence and generate meaningful business opportunities.

In addition to trade show management, the Event Plannersupports the planning and execution of select specialty events, includingclient appreciation events, executive briefing, and internal programs. Thisrole leverages event technology, attendee insights, and post-event analytics tomeasure performance, improve processes, and drive return on investment acrossall event initiatives. Success requires strong project management, vendornegotiation, relationship-building, and analytical skills, with a passion forcreating impactful experiences that strengthen the Yardi brand.

Who You Are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Hospitality,or related field
• Four plus (4+) years of experience in event planningincluding logistics, project management, and budgeting
• Two plus (2+) years of experience in contract negotiation ortrade event execution
• Two plus (2+) years high level hospitality experience is aplus

Ideal to Have:

• Knowledge of RoboHead project management tool
• Knowledge of Jira issue tracking software
• Proficiency with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook
• Ability to build strong cross-functional workingrelationships
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• High degree of professionalism

• National travel required up to 10% for meetings, events,forums, and site inspections

Annual Salary Range: $36.92 - $41.53
