Theatre Aquarius is seeking an experienced Event Planner for the NCNM National Musical Theatre Summit. This contract position involves managing event logistics and collaborating with various stakeholders. The summit will be held from January 25-28, 2026, in Hamilton, Ontario.
Theatre Aquarius, one of Canada’s leading professional non-profit theatres, is searching for an experienced Event Planner for the NCNM National Musical Theatre Summit.
The NCNM National Musical Theatre Summit is a conference and showcase of up-and-coming new musicals that is part of Theatre Aquarius’ National Centre for New Musicals (NCNM)
NCNM supports early-stage development of new musicals with seed funding available for composers, bookwriters, and lyricists to test ideas. The program supports projects at various stages in the continuum of development – from early-stage concepts to previously workshopped or showcased work. Guided by a distinguished Advisory Committee comprised of celebrated theatre practitioners, NCNM cultivates and strengthens new and diverse voices by ensuring that artists and creators are provided with mentorship and consultation to maximize their potential for success in the genre.
The inaugural National Musical Theatre Summit will take place from January 25-28, 2026 in Hamilton, Ontario. The summit is a gathering of art leaders in the musical theatre genre; it is both an industry conference and a showcase for the best up-and-coming new Canadian musicals from NCNM program.
This is a contract position that is based on deliverables. The start time is flexible, and the Event Planner may work from home. They will need to make themselves available for meetings as needed and plan to be in Hamilton for the summit dates.
