Job summary

Dexterra Group is seeking an Operations Supervisor for Event Facilities Services to lead frontline cleaning teams at busy convention centres and arenas. You will manage staff across event preparation, live events, turnovers, and post-event recovery, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality cleaning in guest-facing areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; post-secondary education in Facilities Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field is an asset.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in facilities management, janitorial operations, or related environments.
• Experience leading teams in fast-paced, guest-facing environments.
• Knowledge of cleaning practices, floor care, equipment, chemicals, waste management, and event support services.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise frontline cleaning teams across event preparation, live events, turnovers, and post-event recovery.
• Coordinate staffing and direct staff activities during events and setup.
• Conduct shift start-up briefings, assign tasks, and complete end-of-shift handovers.
• Ensure cleaning assignments meet established standards and safety requirements.
• Train, coach, and mentor frontline employees and temporary event staff.
• Monitor attendance, productivity, and conduct, and complete routine inspections.
