The Role

As an Event Cook, you will work closely with the Food & Beverage team to manage and coordinate the kitchen production for catered events, and weddings. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing dishes according to established recipes and procedures.
  • Working closely with the event team leads to execute the culinary aspects of all catered events & weddings.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, including equipment, utensils, and workspaces.
  • Ensuring that food quality and presentation meet the standards, and that dishes are prepared and served on time.
  • Communicating with the Front of House staff to ensure that the culinary aspects of the restaurant are seamlessly integrated with other elements, such as service and ambiance.
  • Ensuring that all food is prepared and served in accordance with food safety and sanitation regulations, and that the kitchen is in compliance with health codes.
  • Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure that all orders are completed accurately and efficiently, and that food quality and presentation meet the standards of the restaurant.
  • Assisting with other kitchen tasks as needed, such as prepping ingredients, washing dishes, and cleaning kitchen equipment
  • Taking on additional responsibilities and projects as needed to support the smooth operation of the Farm’s kitchen food production.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations and procedures.
  • The ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to quality and excellence in all aspects of kitchen operations.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, with the ability to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure, and to manage task switching and prioritizing well.
  • The ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of the Events department
  • A passion for food and a desire to continuously learn and improve your skills.
