Job Description

WHAT'S THE JOB?

The First Cook plays a key role in executing daily dinner services, preparing feature proteins, and ensuring quality standards. As a senior team member, the First Cook demonstrates leadership and monitors daily operations alongside Culinary leadership.

The role involves a remote camp lifestyle with amenities including:

  • All meals and accommodations provided
  • Travel to and from site locations from designated areas
  • Private room with cable TV
  • Wi-Fi access
  • Laundry facilities
  • Gym and common areas

  • Prepare meals according to standards, schedules, and budgets
  • Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate meal preparation and service
  • Ensure proper food storage and rotation
Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Previous cooking experience required
  • Current Food Safe certification required
  • Camp cooking experience and Red Seal certification are assets
  • Experience in inventory management and team supervision preferred
  • Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, standing, and repetitive hand work

Work Schedule And Remuneration
