Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a Unit Clerk for the Outpatient Department/Ambulatory Care at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton. The role involves managing patient information, scheduling appointments, and coordinating referrals to support patient care on an outpatient basis during evenings and weekends.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, handle confidential information, and contribute to a smooth patient flow while using Connect Care and Alberta NetCare systems.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.
• Unit Clerk certificate (including practicum) and current Health Care Provider CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate efficient flow of communication between health professionals, patients and families.
• Maintain patient records and charts; schedule tests and treatments.
• Perform reception duties, greet and direct visitors, maintain confidentiality of patient information.
