Job summary

Germain Hotels Ottawa is seeking a Server to deliver attentive food and beverage service in a welcoming, family-style atmosphere. You will greet guests, know the menu, and help create a memorable dining experience in a fast-paced setting.

Working hours are 3:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. to closing, on-site, with a wage of $17.95 CAD per hour. A high school diploma and restaurant experience are assets for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, an asset.
• Experience in restaurant service, an asset.
• Must be able to stand for several hours and lift up to 50 lb.
• Excellent stress and pressure management skills.
• Sociable and a team player.
• Natural ability to communicate well.

Responsibilities

• Be on the lookout for guests' needs to offer them a unique experience; know and understand the menu to inform them or make recommendations.
• Help set up, open and close the bar and catering area.
• Take orders and serve all food and beverages.
• Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge guests throughout the service.
• Ensure that the working environment and equipment are clean, disinfected and well organized.
• Comply with current laws and regulations regarding alcohol.
