Job summary

Germain Hotels in Toronto is seeking a friendly Server to deliver attentive service at PUNCH Restaurant. This part-time, on-site role pays $17.60 CAD per hour and includes opportunities to engage guests in a welcoming experience.

You will greet guests, explain the menu, take orders, support bar and catering areas and maintain a clean, compliant workspace. Previous restaurant experience and strong communication are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; asset.
• Experience in restaurant service; asset.
• Good physical condition: stand for hours and lift up to 50 lb.
• Excellent stress and pressure management skills.
• Sociable and team oriented.
• Natural ability to communicate well.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Be on the lookout for guests' needs to offer them a unique experience: know and understand the menu so you can inform them or make recommendations.
• Help set up, open and close the bar and catering area.
• Take orders and serve all food and beverages.
• Anticipate guest's needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge guests throughout the service.
• Ensure that the working environment and equipment are always clean, disinfected and well organized.
• Comply with current laws and regulations regarding alcohol.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• High school diploma or equivalent, an asset
• Experience in restaurant service, an asset
• Good physical condition: must be able to stand for several hours at a time and lift/carry loads of up to 50 lb

The hourly rate for this role is 17.60$ , in alignment with internal equity.
