Quilt, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Personal Support Worker to assist a client in Petersburg, ON, recovering from hip replacement.

The role also includes caring for the client’s 5-year-old son during recovery, with evening visits beginning November 4, 2026. The candidate will provide personal care, mobility support, meal prep, and light housekeeping, with safety gate installations and occasional transport as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with post-surgical hip replacement care.
• Comfortable with personal care and mobility assistance.
• Reliable, patient and calm demeanor.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Experience with caring for young children preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist with post-surgical personal care (toileting, hygiene, dressing, bathing).
• Support mobility and transfers using walker.
• Assist with Game Ready ice pack machine.
• Prepare meals and light housekeeping.
• Provide childcare for a 5-year-old including homework and after-school care.
• Install and maintain safety gates at stairs.
• Occasional transportation for errands or appointments.
• Coordinate with neighbor for school transportation as needed.
