Job summary

Carecor Health Services Ltd. is seeking dedicated Community Personal Support Workers to join our care team in North Glengarry, ON. The role involves visiting clients at home to provide compassionate personal care and support that promotes independence and safety.

You will assist with daily living activities, medication reminders, light housekeeping, meal prep and companionship. Flexible days, evenings and weekends are required in a rural setup, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• PSW certificate or enrolled in a nursing pathway or nursing student
• CPI training preferred
• Recent PSW experience within the past 2 years
• Basic Life Support and N95 fit test required
• Immunization records up to date
• Clear vulnerable sector check required
• COVID-19 vaccination proof may be required

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care according to care plan while ensuring safety and comfort
• Perform activities like bathing, grooming, mobility, toileting and medication reminders
• Support with light housekeeping, meal prep and companionship
• Document observations and report changes to supervisors
• Follow infection prevention practices and participate in ongoing education
• Adhere to company policies and quality initiatives

N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate

Immunization records (MMRV, Hepatitis B, Tdap)

TB test within 1 year or chest x-ray within 5 years
