Centre de services scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys (CSSMB) is seeking a pipefitter to support its schools in Montreal. You will perform plumbing, heating and refrigeration work, ensuring reliable operation of essential systems during the after‑hours shift.

The role emphasizes hands-on repairs, system modernization and maintenance with a focus on student and staff comfort. Requires journeyman qualification and a valid driver’s license; serves a critical site in the Montreal region.

Qualifications

• Requires relevant plumbing and heating qualifications.
• Journeyman card or equivalent certification required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Repair and replace piping.
• Maintain piping systems, faucets, valves, etc.
• Install refrigeration, lighting and gas cooking appliances.
• Install/repair piping for steam, hot water or gas heating.

Education

Plumbing and Heating diploma

Job description

Schedule: 38.75 h / week

Working hours: Monday to Friday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and from 8:30 PM to 11:15 PM

Start date: 2026-07-08

Plumbing, heating, gas, or refrigeration: your expertise touches everything that makes a building alive and comfortable. A hands‑on, human, and stimulating role where every repair directly improves the daily life of hundreds of students and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Repair and replace piping;
• Ensure proper maintenance of piping, faucets, valves, etc.;
• Install refrigeration, lighting, and gas cooking appliances;
• Install, replace, repair, and connect piping for steam, hot water, or gas heating appliances;
• Perform any other related tasks.

Requirements

• Professional studies diploma in Plumbing and Heating or hold a diploma

or a certificate of studies whose equivalence is recognized by the competent authority;

• Valid construction journeyman card or valid non-construction journeyman qualification certificate;
• Valid driver’s license.
