Job summary

Marguerite-Bourgeoys School Service Centre is seeking a skilled carpenter to join our on-site team in Montreal. The role involves framing, finishing, installation, repair, and furniture manufacturing for school environments, adapting spaces to student needs with creativity and precision.

The ideal candidate holds a Vocational Studies diploma in carpentry (or equivalent) and has three years of relevant experience, or possesses a valid construction journeyman card and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Hold a diploma of vocational studies in carpentry or an equivalent recognized by the authority, and have three (3) years of relevant experience.
• Or possess a valid construction journeyman card.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform general framing and finishing work;
• Assemble and disassemble formwork for concrete;
• Install and repair doors, door frames, windows, acoustic tiles on ceilings and floors;
• Install and/or move metal or wood curtain walls;
• Manufacture and repair furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other wooden works not related to cabinetry;
• Perform any other related tasks.

Working hours: Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM and from 11:30 AM to 2:15 PM

Requirements

• Hold a diploma of vocational studies in carpentry or any other specialty appropriate to the job class or hold a diploma or certificate of studies whose equivalence is recognized by the competent authority, and have three (3) years of relevant experience.

Possess a valid construction journeyman card

• Valid driver's license.
