Job summary

Kaizen Lab Inc. seeks a Program Assistant to support the daily operations of Phoenix Pathways and assist clients by providing day-to-day physical, emotional, and social supports, life skills assistance, information, resources, and demonstrations, in accordance with pre-established care schedules. The role aims to keep a safe, well-maintained environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 completed.
• Certificate in Community Social Service.
• 1 year of experience with marginalized populations, substance use services, mental health, corrections, etc., or equivalent.
• Criminal records check with vulnerable sector screening required.
• TB screening and Employee Immunization Record forms required.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) training.
• First Aid 1 and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide feedback and input regarding clients’ needs, progress.
• Assist with life skills development per established care plans.
• Administer medications and provide reminders per policy.
• Oversee client social and recreational activities.
• Identify services and resources to meet clients’ needs and relay information.
• Assist with activities of daily living and accompany clients on outings.
• Maintain records, statistics, and daily logs.
