Job summary

Kaizen Lab Inc. is seeking a part-time, in-person Support Worker to guide a child through after-school programming.

You will utilize various educational philosophies and life skills to support the child’s intellectual, physical, social, and emotional growth, including care such as hygiene, feeding, and play. You will work 2pm-4:00pm Monday to Friday with longer days during professional development days, spring break and summer holidays.

Qualifications

• BC ECEA Certificate (required).

Responsibilities

• Guide child through after school programming using emergent curriculum and developmentally appropriate activities.
• Provide care including hygiene, feeding, exercise and play to support intellectual, physical, social, emotional development.
• Maintain confidentiality and work with educators to support child inclusion.
• Liaise with program manager and team to create a learning environment suitable for child development.
• Maintain ongoing developmental records and communicate with families about progress.
