Job summary

Sandman Hotel Group in Vancouver seeks an experienced Manager on Duty to lead Front Office operations and guest services. You will supervise the Front Office, Reservations and Guest Activities, ensuring adherence to standards and procedures while driving occupancy and revenue.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel front office environment with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong customer service orientation and guest relations skills.
• Ability to forecast, coordinate with Reservations and Sales to maximize occupancy and revenue.

Responsibilities

• Direct and control Front Office, Reservations, Guest Activities; ensure adherence to Sandman Hotel Group standards.
• Prepare forecasts and work with Front Office, Reservations and Sales to maximize occupancy, rate and revenue.
• Develop relationships with clients, return guests and group contacts to provide personalized guest service.
• Support employee development and morale within Rooms Division; implement programs to promote the philosophy.
• Respond to hotel emergencies or safety situations as supervisor.
• Manage administrative duties as specified by the Company.
• Check guests in and out; handle payments and billing; run reports for management.
• Maintain clean, organized front desk; respond to inquiries via phone/email/face-to-face.
