Job summary

The Evaluation and Data Analyst at CASA Mental Health works within an interprofessional team to develop evaluation activities that support continuous clinical and organizational quality improvement. You will collect, analyze and report data to support organizational goals and KPI tracking.

Proficiency in at least one statistical language (R/SAS/SPSS/SQL/Python), strong data quality practices, and advanced MS Office skills are essential. Some travel between CASA locations may be required.

Qualifications

  • :Master’s degree or PhD in a health-related field.
  • :Experience developing evaluation plans and/or frameworks in healthcare.
  • :Experience applying research and evaluation methods.
  • :Experience analyzing qualitative and/or quantitative data.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement evaluation frameworks and logic models with clinical teams.
  • Support development of an organization-wide evaluation framework.
  • Apply quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods, including data collection and analysis.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs and targets.
  • Collect, clean, analyze and maintain data to ensure quality and integrity.
  • Use spreadsheets, databases and programming languages such as R to integrate and automate data processes.
  • Respond to ad hoc data and reporting requests.
  • Translate healthcare data into meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, infographics and knowledge translation materials for internal and external stakeholders.

About the Role

The Evaluation and Data Analyst works collaboratively within an interprofessional team to develop and implement evaluation activities that support continuous clinical and organizational quality improvement. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing and implementing evaluation plans and frameworks; ensuring the quality of key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with organizational and program objectives; and collecting, analyzing and interpreting data for various purposes, including reporting and supporting quality improvement initiatives.

The Evaluation and Data Analyst will:
  • Develop and implement evaluation frameworks and logic models in collaboration with clinical teams.
  • Support the development of an organization-wide evaluation framework.
  • Apply quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods, including data collection and analysis.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Proficiency in at least one statistical programming language, such as R, SAS, SPSS, STATA, Python or SQL.
  • Knowledge of data quality management practices.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Master’s degree or PhD in a health-related field, such as epidemiology, program evaluation, public health, health sciences, medicine, psychology or related discipline.
  • Experience developing evaluation plans and/or frameworks, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience in applying research and evaluation methods.
  • Experience analyzing qualitative and/or quantitative data.
Conditions of Employment
  • A satisfactory Criminal Records Check. This would be the financial responsibility of the successful candidate.
Working Conditions
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are required.
  • Occasional travel between CASA locations across Alberta is required.
