Job summary

You will plan menus, portion and cost control, requisition supplies, supervise kitchen staff, train teammates, inspect the kitchen, and maintain inventory. The ideal candidate has 1 year to less than 2 years in food service and a secondary school graduation certificate; English language required; evening and weekend shifts available.

Qualifications

• Education: secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in food service.
• Restaurant kitchen experience preferred.
• Work in English.

Responsibilities

• Determine the size of food portions and costs
• Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas
• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
