Responsibilities

1. Review and understand job specifications and drawings; follow the estimating process to develop competitive bids.
2. Conduct site/tender walkthroughs to cross-reference drawings, avoid site interferences, and identify proactive solutions.
3. Produce material and labor take-offs using estimating software to develop accurate quotations.
4. Communicate with clients to gather information, clarify specifications, and wording.
5. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing for the final quotation.
6. Participate in bid closing meetings and review sessions.
7. Participate in handover meetings with the project management team after award.

Ideal Candidate

1. Five (5) years of estimating experience within the communications construction industry.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of wiring.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Accubid Enterprise is a plus.
