Job description

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

1. Identify labour, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other associated costs.
2. Study proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
3. Manage the tender closings by preparing all documents, conducting a final review with the department manager, and submitting all pricing.
4. Maintain a cost database.
5. Identify opportunities for value engineering.
6. Conduct take-off meetings.
7. Investigate and quote special projects.
8. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing, quality materials, and timely delivery of services.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. College or University Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, Technical College diploma, or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience.
2. 10+ years of relevant experience in ICI retrofit estimating is preferred.
3. Red Seal certification would be an asset.

Tools and Technology used in this occupation:

1. Mobile and laptop/desktop computer

3. Experience working with Trimble
4. Experience with Procore would be an asset.
