Job summary

Discovery Community College is seeking an on-site ESL HCA program instructor at our Kelowna, BC campus. You will guide students through lab and clinical training to become qualified HCAs and make a real difference in healthcare education. Qualifications include TESL Canada Professional Standard Two, CLB 5+ teaching experience, and a BA degree with 100 hours of methodology and theory.

Start date: October 27, 2026. Evening weekend schedule, 20 hrs/wk, then 8 hrs one day per week.

Qualifications

• Must have TESL Canada Professional Standard Two.
• Experience teaching CLB levels 5 and above.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite ESL HCA program at Kelowna campus.
• Guide students through laboratory and clinical training to become Health Care Assistants (HCAs).

As an instructor, you will play a crucial role in transforming lives and positively impacting the health care sector in British Columbia, guiding students through their laboratory and clinical training to become fully qualified and much-needed Health Care Assistants (HCAs).

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualifications: Must have a TESL Canada Professional Standard Two and experience teaching Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) levels 5 and above.
• Educational Background: A University degree (BA) plus 100 hours of methodology and theory.
• Content knowledge: Must have HCA (Health Care Assistant) content knowledge
