CT Real Estate Investment Trust (CT REIT) is seeking a student intern to support the ESG team in building performance reporting and data gathering. You will work with tenants, utilities, and regulators to process energy and water data and help maintain data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program focusing on engineering, environmental sciences, data science, architecture, environmental sustainability, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of sustainable building and decarbonization strategies is a plus.
• Strong data management and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Support annual building performance reporting to municipal and provincial regulators.
• Collaborate with tenants, utilities, and regulators to gather energy and water consumption and cost data.
• Review utility invoices for anomalies and update CT REIT’s data tracking systems.
• Assist with uploading consumption data to the data management software.

CT REIT’s ESG team drives CT REIT’s developing ESG strategy and is responsible for CT REIT’s public ESG reporting and mandatory disclosures (Building Energy Benchmarking). Reporting into CT REIT’s Manager, ESG, the primary accountabilities within this role will include:* Supporting CT REIT with annual building performance reporting to municipal and provincial regulators.* Working with CT REIT’s tenants, utilities, and regulators to obtain and process energy and water consumption data, including cost data for CT REIT’s buildings.* Reviewing utility invoices for anomalies, year-over-year variances, missing data and following up with utilities as for clarification as necessary.* Uploading consumption data to CT REIT’s data management software and updating CT REIT’s data tracking spreadsheet.**What You Bring:*** Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program with a focus within engineering, environmental sciences, data science, architecture, environmental sustainability, or related discipline* Knowledge of sustainable building and building decarbonization strategies an asset* Data management and analysis skills (i.e. MS Excel)* Self-motivated with ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, supporting exchanges with multiple stakeholders We’re always looking for great talent!
