Job Function:

As an ERP Functional Consultant, you will support small to medium-sized public institutions, including cities and counties across North America, in the configuration and implementation of SAP ByDesign. Your expertise will help local governments streamline their financial operations by ensuring effective system setup, data conversion, and testing. In this role, you will collaborate closely with clients to understand their unique financial processes, deliver tailored configurations, and provide comprehensive training to ensure a smooth transition and ongoing system success.

Key Responsibilities

1. Configure SAP ByDesign to meet the specific needs of public sector clients.
2. Lead data conversion activities, ensuring accurate migration of financial data from legacy systems to SAP ByDesign.
3. Develop and execute test plans to ensure all financial processes are functioning as expected.
4. Provide end-user training to ensure client teams are well-prepared to operate the SAP system.
5. Collaborate with clients to understand and refine their financial business processes.
6. Support system go-live and provide post-implementation troubleshooting and adjustments.
7. Maintain thorough documentation of system configurations, processes, and client interactions.
8. Travel to customer sites will be required for this role and could be as much as 50% travel some months.

Job Requirement:

Qualifications

1. Public sector accounting experience and a deep understanding of governmental financial processes
2. OR
3. ERP Consulting or Implementation Experience with an ERP system similar to SAP Business ByDesign
4. Proven experience with SAP ByDesign or other ERP system, particularly in the public sector would be an asset
5. Strong understanding of how businesses, especially public institutions, utilize an ERP system to manage financial operations.
6. Experience in data migration, including data mapping and conversion processes.
7. Ability to conduct thorough system testing and troubleshoot issues efficiently.
8. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver training and workshops to non-technical users.
9. Willingness to travel to customer sites as required across North America
10. CPA designation is an asset.
11. SAP certification in Financials or related fields is an asset.
12. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
