Job summary

Quinte Health’s Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Emergency Department is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join a close-knit team. You’ll provide high‑quality emergency care, lead in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and adapt to medical, surgical, cardiac, trauma, pediatric, and obstetrical cases in a supportive, community hospital setting.

With flexible scheduling, 8- and 12-hour shifts, and opportunities to cross-train on inpatient floors, you’ll grow professionally

Qualifications

• Current RN registration in good standing or eligibility.
• ACLS certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• BLS/CPR certification.
• Coronary Care 1 or equivalent within 6 months.
• Minimum 1 year ER experience.
• Satisfactory criminal record/vulnerable sector check.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates leadership and critical thinking to assume incharge responsibilities.
• Plans and delivers care within professional, legal, and ethical standards.
• Seeks ongoing education to enhance practice and patient care.
• Collaborates with inter-professional team to formulate and implement care plans.
• Continuously assesses patient status and adjusts interventions as needed.
