Job summary

Northern Health seeks a Nurse Practitioner to join the Emergency Department and Primary Care team at Fort Nelson General Hospital. The NP will attach a patient panel and provide longitudinal primary care in a fast-paced, team-based setting, supported by physicians, NPs, and interprofessional staff.

Virtual consultation and telemedicine enhance decision-making and access to expertise. ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and CASTED certifications are required, with adaptable scheduling to support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in NP program (BCCNM approved).
• Eligible for registration as a Nurse Practitioner with BCCNM.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary ED team to provide safe, patient-centered care.
• Assess and manage patients across CTAS 1–5.
• Use PowerChart or paper-based documentation systems.
