The Opportunity

Northern Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Emergency Department team at Nats'oojeh Hospital and Health Centre. This dynamic role involves providing emergency care to patients of all ages in a fast‑paced, team‑based care environment. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with physicians and emergency nurses, supported by telemedicine tools and flexible scheduling. Advanced certifications required: ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and CASTED.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage CTAS 1 – 5 patients.
  • Collaborate with physicians and emergency department nurses to deliver high‑quality emergency care.
  • Utilize PowerChart or paper‑based documentation systems.
  • Engage with virtual services to support emergency care delivery.
  • Contribute to a team‑based approach to emergency medicine.
Salary Range
  • New Graduate NP – $145,739
  • 1 Year Experience – $153,026
  • 2 Years Experience – $160,313
Qualifications & Skills
  • Eligible for registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Demonstrated experience in primary care and opioid agonist therapy.
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to culturally safe and trauma‑informed care.
