Capstone Asset Management Inc. is a Portfolio Manager, Investment Funds Manager, and Exempt Market Dealer serving clients across multiple provinces, including British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland & Labrador.

Rooted in Biblically informed values, we provide discretionary investment management and mandate-specific solutions to a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals and families, institutions, pensions, foundations, family offices, and third-party Portfolio Managers.

Position Summary:

Capstone Asset Management is seeking an Analyst with a passion for equity research and a strong foundation in capital markets. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the management of Capstone’s soon-to-be launched Capstone Biblically Informed Canadian Equity Fund and Capstone Biblically Informed US Equity Fund. In addition to providing research and analytical support, this role will involve contributions to sales and marketing initiatives, process improvements, and communication with our Private Wealth portfolio managers. The ideal candidate holds strong competencies in research, data analysis and communication while also being aligned with our investment philosophy and values of Capstone.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth company and industry research, providing comprehensive analysis and investment recommendations to support the portfolio management of Capstone’s equity funds.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external service providers to ensure efficient fund management operations.
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials and thought leadership content to support sales and client engagement efforts.
  • Develop and maintain workflow processes that enhance fund management efficiency.
  • Prepare and present reports to the Investment Management Team, Investment Committee, and Biblically Informed Overlay Committee.
  • Support the research and management of other Capstone investment pools and strategies as required.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • CFA Charterholder or significant progress toward the designation.
  • 3-5 years of direct experience in equity research, business analysis, or capital markets.
  • Strong expertise in financial statement analysis and equity valuation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, within a defined scope.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Compensation & Benefits:

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $60,000 - $85,000, with a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, including a generous vacation allotment, medical benefits and contributions towards a retirement savings plan. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
