Research Institute of the MUHC

The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a renowned biomedical and hospital research center in Montreal, affiliated with McGill University. It is supported by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position Summary

The RI-MUHC seeks a Human Resources Advisor to provide strategic and operational HR support to researchers and managers within the institute. The role involves developing, implementing, and optimizing HR programs and processes in collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Advising and coaching researchers and managers on HR matters such as employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, and legal compliance.
• Supporting issue resolution, fostering high performance, and implementing HR improvement strategies.
• Assisting with work and study permit applications and managing employee leaves.
• Participating in HR projects, including automation initiatives, and developing HR training and documentation.
• Making salary recommendations and staying informed on HR best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or related field.
• At least five (5) years of HR experience.
• CRHA membership is an asset.
• Bilingual in French and English with excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Additional Information

Status: Full-Time (35 hours/week)

Salary: $49,722.40 - $92,346.80, commensurate with experience

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Work Location: Remote, with on-site support as needed
