Job summary

Bird Nason Contracting Group in Edmonton, AB is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator for local project work. You will safely operate heavy equipment, perform site tasks, and support substation foundations and trenching activities.

You must hold a valid Excavator Operator certification; additional safety certifications are preferred. Competitive wages, benefits, and opportunities for advancement are offered.

Qualifications

  • Valid Excavator Operator certification.
  • Additional preferred certifications: Telehandler / Zoom Boom (ESC MEWP/AWP), CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, ESC Fall Protection, Ground Disturbance.
  • Strong understanding of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Ability to take direction, work independently, and follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Safely operate equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.

  • Foundations
  • Trenching and backfilling operations
  • Substation foundations and equipment pad preparation
  • Duct bank installation support and exposure
  • Grounding grid installation support
  • Grading and site preparation activities
  • Plan and execute work to avoid delays and ensure efficient project progression
  • Operate equipment in tight areas and around personnel, underground utilities, and overhead power lines
  • Perform routine inspections, cleaning, basic maintenance, and fueling of equipment

Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is currently seeking an experienced Excavator Operator for local work at our project in Edmonton, AB.



  • Schedule: 5 on, 2 off

  • Benefits & RRSP: Provided as per Collective Agreement

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Wage: $39.47


What You Will Be Working On


  • Safely operate equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards
