Job summary

Impact Tile Drainage is seeking an experienced equipment operator for our agricultural tile drainage team. Based in Minto, MB, work sites span Manitoba and Saskatchewan. You will operate heavy machinery to install, repair, and maintain drainage systems in outdoor environments.

The role demands a strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to travel to job sites. Hotels and meals are provided when working away from home, with competitive pay based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, tractors, tile plow, dozers and other heavy equipment.
• Install subsurface drainage tile (pipe) according to planned layout and specifications.
• Operate equipment safely around utilities, waterways, roads, fences and obstacles.
• Follow drainage plans, grades, elevations, and GPS/laser guidance to install and connect mainlines and fixtures.
• Excavate trenches and perform backfilling and grading as required.
• Ensure tile is properly connected and free of damage or blockages.
• Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance.

About the Role:

Impact Tile Drainage is hiring an experienced, dependable equipment operator to join our agricultural tile drainage team. The successful candidate will operate a variety of heavy equipment used in the installation, repair and maintenance of agricultural drainage systems.This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced, outdoor construction environment with a company that values hard work and team spirit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate excavators, tractors, tile plow, dozers and other heavy equipment.
• Install subsurface drainage tile (pipe) according to the planned layout and specifications.
• Operate equipment safely around existing utilities, waterways, roads, fences and other obstacles.
• Follow drainage plans, grades, elevations, and GPS/laser guidance systems to install and connect mainlines, laterals, fittings, catch basins, outlets and other drainage components.
• Excavate trenches and perform backfilling and grading as required.
• Ensure tile is properly connected and free of damage or blockages.
• Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance.
• Grease equipment, check fluids, inspect tracks/tires and identify mechanical issues.
• Working outdoors in all weather conditions
