  • Safely load, secure, transport, and unload heavy earthmoving equipment.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly safety meetings.

  • Work with company to ensure safety compliance is adhered to at all times per OH&S and NSC.
  • Follow all safety protocols, company policies, and traffic laws.
  • Communicate regularly with management and on-site foremen.
  • Work safely on construction sites in muddy or challenging conditions.
  • Comply with DOT wide-load requirements.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly safety meetings.

Overview

We are currently hiring a Class 1 Equipment Hauling Driver. This role is ideal for a safety-focused professional who works well in a team environment and has experience transporting heavy equipment with precision. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely loading, hauling, and unloading heavy equipment while meeting delivery timelines and complying with all safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Safely load, secure, transport, and unload heavy earthmoving equipment
  • Operate 8-wheel, 16-wheel, and 32-wheel configurations with jeep
  • Demonstrated ability, with experience operating winch tractor, wheel trailer, and scissor neck trailers
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment and load safety
  • Work with company to ensure safety compliance is adhered to at all times in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety and National Safety Codes
  • Follow all safety protocols, company policies, and traffic laws
  • Communicate regularly with management and various on-site foremen
  • Work safely on construction sites, including muddy or challenging conditions
  • Comply with DOT wide-load requirements
  • Attend and contribute to weekly safety meetings
  • Other duties as required
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience loading, securing, hauling, and unloading heavy earthmoving equipment such as dozers, excavators, scrapers, graders, rock trucks, and packers
  • Strong understanding of operating various types of construction equipment
  • Proven ability to safely load and unload equipment
  • Ability to work in a steady-paced environment during the construction season
  • Strong work ethic with flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required
  • Comfortable working in all weather conditions
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
Licenses & Certifications
  • Valid Class 1 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract (required)
  • H2S and First Aid certifications are considered assets
