Job summary

Primary Engineering and Construction in Alberta is seeking a Materials & Equipment Delivery Driver to support our Construction office in Calgary. This role focuses on safe operation of a 1-ton flat bed and bumper pull trailer, with pre-trip inspections and daily reporting.

You must have a valid Class 5 license, at least two years hauling materials, a clean five-year driver’s abstract, and a solid safety record. This full-time on-site position offers steady work and exposure to varied projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years hauling materials and equipment – truck driving experience in city limits.
• Must have class 5 Drivers Licence.
• Proven care and diligence with good safety record.
• Current clean 5 years Driver’s Abstract in good standing with minimal demerits.
• Understanding of transportation legislation and regulations.
• Previous experience is an asset.
• Valid Driver’s License and Driver’s abstract in good standing.
• Minimum 2000 hours experience in similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip Inspections: check oil, fluid levels, tires, lights, brakes, etc.
• Submit daily checklist.
• Check that truck is kept in optimum operating condition by reporting all repair requirements to Fleet Mechanic without delay.
• Drive and Operate 1-ton flat bed truck
• Drive and operate vehicle with bumper pull trailer
• Exercise reasonable care in truck operation.
• Adhere to all applicable safety rules and regulations.
• Obtain job assignment, address and location and confirm best routing to designated areas.
• Haul trash material to landfill.
• Disposing of materials: dump in designated area, clean vehicle after dumping when necessary.
• Physically capable to load equipment and tooling by hand (fence panels, signage, etc.)
• Submit daily activity report, haul tickets and purchase receipts.
• Pick up and Haul materials and aggregate from suppliers to job sites.
• Other duties as required.
