Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking a Dispatcher to organize the daily dispatch of equipment for the Winnipeg branch. This role emphasizes safety, integrity and timely service to meet customer operations.

You will schedule drivers, take customer orders by phone, arrange for emergency field repairs, and support the Inside sales team. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Knowledge of DOT/Federal Motor Carrier rules and regulations.
• Diligent attention to safety.
• Strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Superior customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule drivers and organize dispatch for the branch.
• Assist in taking customer telephone orders for deliveries, pickups and service.
• Arrange for all emergency field repairs.
• Answer customer calls and review driver schedules to fulfill requests.
• Assist Inside sales team as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
