Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Procurement Specialist to own the full procurement lifecycle for major transmission and infrastructure projects in Calgary. You will manage RFx development, vendor engagement, evaluations, contract negotiations, and PO issuance, collaborating with engineering and project teams to ensure alignment with schedules.

You will lead major procurement packages in EPC environments, review BOMs and drawings, and manage multiple POs while ensuring accuracy and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading major procurement packages and RFx development.
• Ability to review engineering drawings, BOMs and specifications.
• Experience with vendor selection, negotiations and purchase orders.
• Experience managing procurement on large capital projects (millions in spend).
• Background in EPC or engineered equipment procurement is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end procurement for major capital projects.
• Develop RFQs, RFPs and procurement packages.
• Negotiate terms and administer purchase orders.
• Coordinate with engineering, estimating and vendors.
• Monitor supplier performance and delivery schedules.
• Mitigate procurement risks and project schedule impacts.
