Job summary

Kleinfelder Canada is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist / Coordinator to manage procurement activities for major electrical, instrumentation/control, and related equipment. You will interface with Project Manager, engineering leads, and the client Supply Chain to ensure timely, compliant purchasing and close collaboration.

The role evolves from FEED through Detailed Design, with involvement increasing as packages mature, including expediting, inspection support, and logistics

Qualifications

5–10 years of progressive procurement, purchasing, contracting or supply chain experience in engineering/capital projects.
Experience issuing and administering RFQs, MRs, purchase orders and commercial clarifications.
Ability to interpret commercial terms and escalate issues to project management or client supply chain.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary procurement contact for the project and coordinate with Project Manager and client Supply Chain.
Develop and maintain Procurement Execution Plan and tracking for MRs, RFQs, quotations and deliveries.
Administer vendor relations, purchase orders, documentation, expediting and logistics obligations.
Coordinate vendor questions, bid clarifications and commercial evaluations with engineering disciplines.
