Job summary

Northern Health is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Worker for a casual role at Prince Rupert Regional Hospital. The successful candidate will maintain cleanliness and disinfection throughout patient areas, operating rooms, labs, washrooms and public spaces under supervision.

Responsibilities include following regional Environmental Services policies and ensuring a sanitary, safe environment for patients, staff and visitors across the facility.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal with others effectively.
• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of environmental services duties throughout the facility to maintain clean and disinfected conditions.
• Cover areas such as patient/resident/client rooms, operating rooms, diagnostic imaging and laboratory areas, labour and delivery rooms, washrooms, corridors, lounges and common staff areas.
• Follow Northern Health environmental services policies and processes.
• Participate in maintaining safe, sanitary and orderly environments for patients, staff, and visitors.

Job description

Position Summary

We are currently looking for a hard working and dedicated Environmental Services Worker to fill a Casual position at the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, this position performs a variety of environmental services duties throughout the facility. Maintains clean and disinfected conditions in areas such as patient/resident/client rooms, Operating Rooms, Diagnostic Imaging and Laboratory, Labour and Delivery Rooms, washrooms, corridors, hallways, lounges, offices, and common areas used by staff, visitors and patients/residents/clients as established in Northern Health Regional Environmental Services Policies and Processes.
